Handicapped Anglers for Trout

This website is dedicated to Fly Fishermen who are not as agile as they used to be but still are driven to pursue wild trout in moving water.

Download Page

The downloads on this site were compiled from several data sources with the primary source being the Michigan DNR. The Individual Management Units maintain a listing of "Better Fishing Sites" in their areas. These sites along with other sources were combined and are offered as a master list containing over 1100 sites. The data is not complete in all categories and is a work in process
A barrier free list is included as a subset of the master list. The barrier free sites have not been visited by this website and may not all qualify for true "Barrier Free" status as required by the US government. The majority are on lakes and are fishing piers. We are aware of almost no barrier free sites on moving water suitable for dry fly trout fishing. We are trying to promote this concept.
Limited mobility sites are sites where a person of limited mobility can park and fish a dry fly to moving water from a chair within a very short walking distance. We are always in need of information on these sites and the list is not yet downloadable. Please see the "Contact Us" page.
